Senior Clinical Social Worker, Inpatient Palliative Care Service

Kelsey Anderson, MSW, LICSW is a clinical social worker on the inpatient Palliative Care team at Massachusetts General Hospital, supporting both the consult service and Supportive Care Unit. She joined the MGH Division of Palliative Care and Geriatric Medicine in October 2019 and until September 2023 worked on the Mass General Brigham Mind and Memory Care Program. Kelsey earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Boston College School of Social Work, specializing in clinical practice with older adults and families. At Boston College, she completed internships at Commonwealth Care Alliance and the Alzheimer’s Association, and was a John A. Hartford Foundation Partnership Program in Aging Education Fellow. Before becoming a social worker, Kelsey was a user experience designer for a healthcare technology company, helping to develop software products that improved delivery of care. Her clinical interests include serious illness conversation and dementia caregiver education and support.
