Angelika Golebiowska has built her Palliative Care career exclusively in the outpatient arena while serving marginalized urban communities. Prior to her fellowship in Palliative Care she served as a doctor in Montefiore’s academic primary care clinic. Through this experience as an Internal Medicine attending, the mission to practice Palliative care became clear and she entered Fellowship.
Now, as an outpatient clinical educator with a solid background in primary care, her goal has been to distill many years’ worth of bedside experience into effective language and behaviors for her learners. She believes that deciphering academic research is well taught in training but then applying those concepts in the clinic room requires a clever and deliberate approach. It is her hope to instill a curiosity of patient’s circumstances and an awareness of logistics for all providers.
