David H. Lynch, BMBS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A geriatrician and clinician-investigator, Dr. Lynch’s work focuses on developing scalable, sustainable models of dementia care across hospital and community settings. His clinical practice spans inpatient and outpatient geriatrics, with a focus on caring for people living with dementia and their caregivers. He leads Memory Connect, a registry-enabled, primary care–integrated dementia care program, and serves as site Principal Investigator for the NIH-funded PREVENTABLE trial. His recent work includes CoCare-CI, a clinical innovation to improve behavioral symptom management in hospitalized patients with cognitive impairment. Dr. Lynch’s research bridges geriatrics, palliative care, and implementation science, aiming to reduce hospital-associated disability and improve care coordination across settings.
