Kate L.M. Hinrichs, Ph.D., ABPP is a Geropsychologist, board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology and is a licensed clinical psychologist in Outpatient Palliative Care at the VA Boston Healthcare System. At VA Boston Dr. Hinrichs also serves as Chair of the Disruptive Behavior Committee, oversees the Workplace Violence Prevention Programs, and serves as a major supervisor within the Geropsychology training program. She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Colorado State University and went on to complete both her pre‐doctoral internship and postdoctoral clinical fellowship at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System in the Geropsychology Track. Dr. Hinrichs holds a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Clinical interests include: treating medically and psychiatrically complex patients, geriatrics, culturally competent care of sexual minorities, behavioral management, and end-of-life care.
