Dr. Laura Hanson is a Professor in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where she is the Medical Director of the UNC Palliative Care & Hospice Program. Her current research focuses on clinical trials to improve palliative care for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Within AAHPM she has served on the Research and the Quality Committees, and as the Quality and Research Strategic Coordinating Committee Chair.
