Katelyn Stepanyan was born and raised in the Northeast United States. She graduated from Vassar College with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and received her medical degree from UCSF before settling down at UCLA for both her internal medicine residency and Hospice and Palliative medicine fellowship. She has put down roots in Los Angeles, and remains at UCLA as a palliative care attending, where she also serves as the Program Director for the UCLA Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship. Currently, her main passion lies in developing curricula and educational tools in palliative care for medical trainees of all levels, as well as community education and engagement. Other passions include narrative writing, singing, anything involving making or eating pizza, and spending time with her husband and two children.
