Dr. Egge is an ID physician–scientist at OHSU studying β-lactam heteroresistance in P. aeruginosa, efflux-mediated resistance, and improving diagnostics and therapy for MDR gram-negatives. She trained at Texas Tech (MD), LSU Shreveport (residency), and completed ID fellowship at UTHealth/MD Anderson followed by a T32 research year in antimicrobial resistance at Houston Methodist. Her work focuses on infections in the lung, critically ill, and immunocompromised, and on optimizing antimicrobial treatment algorithms to balance resistance risk with clinical success.
