Dr. Jessica Besbris completed her adult neurology residency at UCLA in 2015 and her palliative care fellowship at the West Los Angeles VA in 2016. She is board-certified in both Neurology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she provides inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultation to persons living with serious neurological disorders, and serves as the Director of Neuropalliative Care. Dr. Besbris is passionate about education at the intersection of neurology and palliative medicine, and provides formal neuropalliative instruction to palliative care and neurology trainees. She is currently serving as the Secretary of the International Neuropalliative Care Society. Past leadership includes roles as the founding Co-Chair of the International Neuropalliative Care Society’s Education Committee, the founding Chair of the American Academy of Neurology’s Palliative Care Section, and the founding Chair of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine’s Neuropalliative Special Interest Group.
