Palliative Care Chaplain

Edward is a palliative care chaplain with the Section of Palliative Medicine and the Spiritual Care Department at Northwestern Medicine (NM) in Chicago, IL. In addition to direct clinical care with Palliative Care, Edward holds a palliative care faculty-leadership role at NM. He is a Board-Certified Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains and is a Cambia Sojourns Scholar. Edward received a Doctor of Ministry specializing in Clinical Spiritual Care Education from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York and a PhD in Palliative Care student at the University of Maryland Baltimore. He is bilingual, speaks Spanish-English, and has a multicultural background, which offers him a unique opportunity to work with Spanish-speaking communities.
