Dr. Caroline Cubbison is a bilingual palliative care physician from the Dominican Republic and Medical Director of the Outpatient Adult Palliative Care Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She completed the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship and now focuses on advancing integrated palliative care delivery within oncology.
At Dana-Farber, Dr. Cubbison practices adult palliative care and supportive oncology, leading one of the largest outpatient adult palliative care clinics in the United States. In this role, she helps drive the implementation and scaling of the Supportive Oncology Collaborative—an embedded care model integrating psychosocial services and palliative care directly into oncology workflows. Her work emphasizes access, efficiency, and interdisciplinary alignment across disease centers.
Dr. Cubbison is also deeply committed to global palliative care development. She collaborates with partners in the Dominican Republic to strengthen clinical training and expand palliative care services. Her professional interests include system design, program implementation, and culturally responsive models of serious illness care.
