Senior Vice President for Cancer Support
As senior vice president for cancer support, Dr. Shanthi Sivendran provides strategic direction, thought leadership, and subject matter expertise across a variety of initiatives that improve cancer care delivery support to patients and caregivers. Dr. Sivendran leads the Patient Support pillar’s global cancer treatment, navigation support, cancer care delivery innovation, and supportive and palliative care work.
Dr. Sivendran comes to ACS from the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, where she is a clinical associate professor of medicine. In this role she treats a wide variety of cancers but specializes in skin cancer, breast cancer, and sarcoma cancers.
Dr. Sivendran earned her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and her medical degree from University College Dublin School of Medicine. In addition to her medical training, she earned a Master of Science and Clinical Research from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration from Isenberg School of Management.
