Jessica Saleska, PhD, MPH, is a Lead AI Implementation Researcher at Washington University in St Louis School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of AI to improve end-of-life care. In her current role, she uses deep learning mortality models and large language models to identify patients in greatest need of advance care planning. Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions to the literature in hospice and palliative care, implementation science and health behavior. Dr. Saleska received a Masters in Public Health from Washington University in St. Louis, a PhD in epidemiology from the Ohio State University, postdoctoral training in behavioral science from the UCLA Semel Institute of Neuroscience and Human Behavior, and a professional degree in Applied Data Science from MIT.
