Gretchen VonHeeder-Phillips, LICSW, CMHS (she/her) is pediatric oncology social worker, working as a mental health provider in the Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital, with a special interest in supporting Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) patients. Gretchen’s clinical focus is on strong patient relationship building, grief and loss, trauma and palliative-informed care. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Gretchen is VitalTalk Faculty, and works as a Faculty Mentor for the Palliative Care Training Center at the University of Washington.
