Dr. Manisha Verma is the Associate Professor, Associate Chair and Director of Research for the Department of Medicine at Jefferson Health. She is an internationally recognized health services researcher whose work focuses on patient centered outcomes research and health systems interventions. She leads the PAL LIVER trial, a cluster randomized trial supported by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute. This groundbreaking research has led to improved quality of life of patients with advanced liver diseases, and has the potential to transform evidence-based practice. Her expertise is in developing models of palliative care, integrating patient reported outcomes within routine practice, and integrating multidisciplinary services within primary and specialty care. The long-term goal of her research is to improve patient centered outcomes through optimized care approaches.
