Dr Moynihan, MBBS was appointed as a Staff Physician in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School in 2018 after clinical training across Australia, New Zealand and Boston. As the Director of Palliative Care for the CICU, Dr Moynihan has active research and QI projects including critical care intervention decision-making, quality of death and dying, communication training and palliative care integration in the CICU. Additional research interests focus on social determinants of health and healthcare access and outcomes in pediatric critical illness as well as ethics and decision-making – particularly in relation to life-sustaining devices. She provides exceptional care to her patients and is much loved by the children and their families.
