Dr. Van Klein trained in Internal Medicine at Brown University and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is currently practicing inpatient Palliative Medicine at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. During his time with Inova, he has worked extensively with patients on ECMO, those being evaluated or having received heart and or lung transplants or left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), and presently is the primary inpaient Palliative Medicine physician for patient's of the Inova Schar Cancer Institute if they are admitted to the hospital. His free time is often spent with his wife, Ashley, entertaining their two dogs and two energetic toddlers in all the best ways.
