Palliative Care Chaplain

Jean Walsh, BCC serves as the palliative care chaplain at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell in Manhattan, New York. Jean has served on the PCT since 2013. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and is bilingual English-Spanish. Previous to her work as a professional chaplain, she worked in the United States and in Latin America in advocacy and community development. Over the last decade she has worked to enhance the understanding of the spiritual experience of illness. She has also partnered with others at NYP to deepen the partnership and mutual learning between medical staff and chaplains.
