Emily E. Johnston, MD, MS (she/her/hers)

Associate Professor Of Pediatrics
Children's of Alabama/ University of Alabama at Birmingham

Dr. Johnston is pediatric oncologist and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She attended Carleton College for undergraduate education before heading to Stanford for medical school, pediatrics residency, and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship as well as a Masters in Health Services Research. At UAB, she is Director of Pediatric Palliative Care Reserach and Education in the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. She is also a member of the Institute for Cancer Outcomes and Survivorship. Her long term goal is to establish quality measures for children with cancer and leverage those measures to reduce disparities in care.
