Nicholas Purol, MSW, LICSW

Social Worker
Boston Children's Hospital

Nick Purol, MSW, LICSW, is the clinical lead social worker on the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT), the palliative care team at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He also serves as the PACT Social Work Fellowship Director at the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care and as Director of Education for PACT. For over a decade, Nick has practiced and championed the integration of interprofessional palliative care, teaching locally and nationally on topics such as community-based care, end-of-life care, serious illness communication, and bereavement. He remains passionate regarding the importance of truly interdisciplinary practice and the role of social work in quality pediatric palliative care."
