I recently finished Emergency Medicine residency at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. During residency, I helped integrate palliative care education into our weekly education conferences and I developed an elective for EM residents on the palliative care consult service. Additionally, we incorporated an annual VitalTalk training for all EM residents into our curriculum. I am now working as a full-time ED attending at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where I strive to continue teaching EM providers about communication skills and goal-concordant care in a high acuity enviroment. I also work part-time as a Hospice Attending for Hospice East Bay where I see GIP and routine-level care pateints.
