Maureen Ekwebelem is research assistant in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine working with Daniel Shalev, a palliative psychiatrist. She received her Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University, concentrating in Human Development and minoring in Global Health. She has contributed to works including the Psychiatric Comorbidities and Outcomes in Palliative and End-of-Life Care: A Systematic Review, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Training in Mental Health: A Survey of Program Directors, and Mental Health Integration and Delivery in the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Setting: A National Survey of Clinicians. She plans to obtain a PhD and pursue a career as a data scientist, specializing in healthcare data science and artificial intelligence.
