Dr. Chadane Thompson is a graduate of The University of the West Indies (UWI), Jamaica, where he was awarded the distinguished UWI Open Scholarship in recognition of academic excellence. He then pursued his internal medicine residency training at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in New Jersey, where he was selected to serve as PGY-3 Chief Resident. Currently, Chadane is a Clinical Fellow in the Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship Program and a participant in both the Global Palliative Education Collaborative and the Health Equity Track. He also leads the Global Oncology Committee within the ASCO Palliative Care Community of Practice. His clinical and research interests are grounded in the integration of palliative care and hematology/oncology, with specific attention to sickle cell disease and supportive oncology. Driven by a passion for global health equity, Chadane is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality palliative care in underserved populations and low-resource settings. His professional path reflects a commitment to bridging gaps in serious illness care and ensuring that all patients—regardless of geography or sociodemographic background—benefit from evidence-based, comprehensive, and person-centered healthcare practices.
