Dr. Strand is Chair of the Center for Palliative Medicine at Mayo Clinic and a board-certified Palliative Care
specialist. His research practice centers around the development of advanced machine
learning models to target patients with unmet palliative care needs. Additionally, he has experience in the
identification of barriers to the integration of palliative care disciplines and developing triggered early
interventions models of outpatient palliative care.
