Anthony Fredericks, MD, MS is an emergency medicine and palliative care physician at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where he practices across both inpatient/outpatient palliative care and the emergency department. He also serves as Medical Director for Rio Grande Hospice in Albuquerque. Originally from San Diego, Dr. Fredericks completed his undergraduate studies at Occidental College, earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California, and trained in Emergency Medicine at UCLA before completing a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at UNM. His professional interests include integrating palliative care principles and hospice discharge pathways into emergency department workflows to improve continuity and goal-concordant patient experience.
