Alex Choi, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency medical training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital. Then he finished his fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and joined the palliative care program as faculty in 2021.
In his clinical practice, he practices inpatient and outpatient palliative care for patients with serious illnesses. His main role is to help alleviate uncontrolled symptoms and to assist with communication for complex medical decision making. Dr. Choi’s research interests are in communication skills and medical education.
