Dr. Christi Stewart is a physician at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA. She is board certified in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Association of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is the section chief of Hospice & Palliative Medicine at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the medical director of Carilion Hospice Roanoke. She is an Associate Professor and the Phase 3 Director at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr. Stewart has given multiple lectures on palliative medicine, prognostication, dementia, goals of care discussions and advance care planning on a local, regional, state and national level.She is passionate about medical education, especially involving care of the frail elderly population, dementia, and advance care planning and goal directed medical care. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia for both undergraduate education and medical school, and completed her Family Medicine residency, Geriatric fellowship and Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Lancaster General Health in Lancaster, PA.
