Director of Wellness and Outreach, Putnam County Family YMCA
Jenny Thacker serves as the Director of Wellness and Outreach at the Putnam County Family YMCA, where she leads with a deep commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of every person in her community. A long-time YMCA leader, Jenny has held many roles—from swim instructor and group fitness coach to Cancer Exercise Specialist—but her most impactful work has been guiding the development of the Y’s Cancer Recovery Program and GO PINK initiative.
Under her leadership, these programs have grown to support survivors of all types of cancer and are now expanding into new communities like Crossville. Jenny is also a key leader in shaping the YMCA’s broader wellness mission, helping ensure that the Y remains a place of healing, connection, and strength for all.
Jenny’s passion is rooted in her love for God and a calling to serve others. Inspired by the cancer journeys of close friends and family, she feels blessed to walk alongside survivors, offering hope, encouragement, and faith as they regain strength—body, mind, and spirit.
