Palliative Care Physician, Clinical Ethicist

Gregg VandeKieft, MD, MA, FAAHPM, is an inpatient palliative care physician and clinical ethicist in Olympia, WA. He has served as Medical Director for the Washington Rural Palliative Care Initiative since its inception in 2016. He is Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Washington and co-manages the Advanced Disease State Management course for the University of Maryland's on-line Masters Program in Palliative Care. He has held numerous leadership roles within AAHPM and is faculty for the academy's biannual Intensive Board Review Course. Dr. VandeKieft received the 2018 Hastings Center Cunniff-Dixon Physician Award in the Senior Physician category and the 2017 Stuart J. Farber Award for Excellence in Hospice and Palliative Care from the Washington State Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
