Dr. Courtney Paetznick is a Clinical Pharmacogenomics Specialist at Children's Minnesota, where her primary focus is to improve the medication experiences of pediatric patients by translating genomic information into clinical care. Dr. Paetznick earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota and completed both a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY-2 Clinical Pharmacogenomics Residency at Children's Minnesota.
Dr. Paetznick is particularly interested in optimizing medication therapy for pediatric patients in areas such as mental health, pain management, and palliative care. In her current role, she provides direct patient care in the pharmacogenomics clinic, conducts clinical research to advance the field, and develops clinical decision support tools and metric tracking systems to help incorporate pharmacogenomic data into standard practice.
