Shannon Levesque, PharmD joined HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, RI in January 2025 as the organization’s first full-time clinical pharmacist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1996 and her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 1998 from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
Dr. Levesque brings extensive experience across inpatient pain management consultation, geriatrics, primary care, transitions of care, and hospital pharmacy practice. Her clinical expertise includes managing complex chronic conditions such as COPD, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and chronic pain.
At HopeHealth, she supports both the inpatient units at the Hulitar Hospice Center and the community-based care teams serving patients across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Her focus is on advancing high-quality, cost-effective, evidence-based care in hospice and palliative settings.
Dr. Levesque is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Rhode Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists, where she has held multiple leadership roles, including serving as President.
