Sanaz Kashan, MD (she/her/hers)

Hospice and Palliative Care Physician
Catholic Hospice / HCA Fl Aventura Hospital

Dr. Sanaz Kashan is a Palliative Medicine physician consultant for HCA FL Aventura Hospital/Catholic Palliative Care Services. Dr. Kashan is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is an Associate Professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine (HWCOM).
Dr. Kashan completed her Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Medicine Residency at Michigan State University and Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
One of Dr. Kashan’s main career interests has been end-of-life care and advanced care planning. She has given numerous invited presentations on this topic at the local, state, national and international level. Dr. Kashan is also particularly interested in enhancing quality of health care through medical education and inter-professional teamwork to improve health outcomes.
