As Director of Hospice for Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Lynne O’Mara oversees hospice operations, quality, and patient-centered initiatives that support compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care. In addition to her hospice leadership, she serves as Clinical Program Manager for the Center for Geriatric Surgery, E-Care Clinical Director for the West Health Accelerator at Mass General Brigham, and Senior Administrator of Inpatient Operations for the Office of the COO at BWH in Boston, MA. Lynne brings over 12 years of clinical experience in general surgery, trauma, geriatrics, and palliative care, combined with deep expertise in healthcare operations, quality improvement, and systems redesign. She was the first Physician Assistant to complete the American Geriatrics Society’s Emerging Leaders in Aging Fellowship and is the founder of the Geriatric Champion Program for Surgical PAs. Lynne also serves as President of the Geriatric Medicine PAs Constituent Organization of the AAPA and as the AAPA Medical Liaison to the American Geriatrics Society.
