Washington Rural Palliative Care Initiative Contractor
Adie Goldberg, PhD, LICSW has presented at numerous national and state conferences. In 2018, she was recognized as the SWHPN (Social Work Hospice and Palliative Network) outstanding clinical social worker. She is known for her interactive style when engaging with participants. Currently transitioning from a 20 year hospital -based palliative career, while still providing supplemental in patient palliative care. she is working for the WA State Dept of Health, Rural Palliative Initiative. The Initiative works with rural stakeholders in developing primary palliative services in critical access hospitals. , Adie has taught at Portland State University, EWU and Gonzaga University. Most recently, she authored the Washington State submission to the John A Hartford Foundation Tipping Point Challenge which received a silver medal. The challenge is dedicated to the improvement of health care delivery for all people living with serious illness. In her spare time, she loves on her daughters and granddaughters, backpacks, gardens and tends to her chickens and rescue dog Otis.
