Dr. Jeanna Ford is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the field of palliative care and hospice.
Dr. Ford holds various qualifications, including a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She is double board-certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health and an Advanced Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse. Additionally, she is a Fellow in Palliative Care Nursing and a Fellow of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Dr. Ford's career spans various roles, from bedside nurse to advanced practice nurse and clinical leader in intensive care, oncology, palliative care, and hospice. She has been instrumental in establishing several palliative care programs, demonstrating her commitment to improving patient care.
As a national speaker and published author, Dr. Ford focuses her clinical expertise on palliative care, symptom management, and cultural sensitivity at the end of life. She serves as faculty for the Center to Advance Palliative Care and as the clinic director and APRN for the University of New Mexico Outpatient Palliative Care Clinic.
