Dr. Molly Kaylyn Svendsen completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, before attending the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at Dignity Health in Santa Maria, California, and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, where she now serves as faculty. Dr. Svendsen’s academic and clinical interests center on the human experience of illness, the role of perspective taking in medical education, and the cultivation of empathy and presence in serious illness care.
