Thomas W. LeBlanc, MD, MA, MHS, FAAHPM, FASCO is Associate Professor of Medicine with Tenure in the Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapy at the Duke University School of Medicine, and founding Director of the Cancer Patient Experience Research Program (CPEP) in the Duke Cancer Institute (DCI). He serves as the Chief Patient Experience and Safety Officer for the DCI. Dr. LeBlanc is board-certified in medical oncology and in hospice and palliative medicine, and his practice focuses on the care of patients with blood cancers, particularly those with acute leukemias and myeloid malignancies. His program of research focuses on palliative care and patient experience issues in hematology
