Palliative Care Medical Director

Dr. Jennifer Blechman completed her Hospice and Palliative Care fellowship at Stanford after working as a family doctor for 11 years, and now works at Partners In Care in Bend, Oregon as the Palliative Care Medical Director and as a hospice physician. She is board certified in Family Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and as a Hospice Medical Director. Under Blechman's leadership, Partners In Care started a community-based palliative care program in 2014, and she runs a clinic embedded in an oncology practice at a multispecialty clinic. This partnership has expanded and her team is now also embedded in cardiology, pulmonology, and working alongside hospitalists at a local SNF. The program also has a community branch in which the team sees patients at home or in facilities and actively participates in Bend's ALS interdisciplinary clinic.
Blechman is passionate about helping patients and their families live with advanced illness as fully as possible, and finds her work incredibly rewarding. She has been lucky enough to live in Bend since 2002, and in her spare time enjoys skiing, biking, traveling, and trying to keep up with her 2 boys.
