Jocelyn Jiao is a dual-appointed movement disorders specialist and palliative care specialist at Stanford. She grew up in the Bay Area in California, and she obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Stanford. She then moved to New York City, where she completed a Masters of Science in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University and received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Jocelyn completed her neurology residency at the University of Southern California, movement disorders fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University, and hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. At Stanford, she is the Physician Lead for the Neuropalliative Program; her clinical and academic interests involve the development and implementation of palliative care for people and families living with serious neurological diseases.
