Kyle P. Edmonds, MD, FAAHPM is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego, where he serves as Chief for Academic Affairs in the Division of Geriatrics, Gerontology, and Palliative Care. A board-certified specialist in both family medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, Dr. Edmonds completed his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, and fellowship at the Institute for Palliative Medicine in San Diego.
Dr. Edmonds provides inpatient consultative palliative care across UC San Diego Health’s hospitals and is deeply committed to medical education, mentoring learners across the School of Medicine and the Skaggs School of Pharmacy. His scholarly work spans communication, symptom management, and interdisciplinary care, with numerous publications in the Journal of Palliative Medicine and other leading journals.
