Erika Mendoza Plaut, MD

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Erika Mendoza Plaut graduated in medicine from the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She moved to the United States of America in 2004, where she completed her studies in Pediatric, Pediatric Critical Care at Harbor-CHOC/UCLA program and Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care at Arkansas Children’s. She joined the Cardiology Program and faculty at UAB/Children’s of Alabama as a Cardiac Intensivist in 2017. She is currently doing a Pain and Palliative Care fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
