April Christensen, MD, MS, MFA, FACP, FAAHPM is a Palliative Care physician at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She has previously served as the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship program director and co-chairs Mayo's Internal Medicine Board Review Course. Dr. Christensen has interests in education, artificial intelligence, and imposter syndrome. She collaborated on the first AI RCT to date examining patient preferences for AI- vs. physician-generated empathetic statements.

Dr. Christensen completed her fellowship and Masters of Medical Education at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She trained in Internal Medicine Residency and medical school at Vanderbilt University.
