Richard W. Bauer, MDiv, MSW (he/him/his)

Chaplain
George Washington University

Richard Bauer, (Rick) is a Board Certifed Chaplain with the Spiritual Care Assocation. He holds a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Social Work. After 25 years in East and southern Africa implementing comprehensive care with adults and children living with HIV, he returned to the US. Rick is currently at the George Washington University Institute for Spirituality and Health, a faculty member at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and provides clinical chaplaincy services at the George Washington University Hospital. He is also on the Executive Committee for PallCHASE, Palliative Care in Humanitarian Aid Situations and Emergencies.
