Megan Gjertsen, MD is currently a third year internal medicine resident at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She attended medical school at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where she partnered with a local community outreach center to create programs and services for older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. During her residency training, she has worked with her research mentor, Dr. Jacky Kruser, and a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate prognostic abilities of physicians and large language models. She will be pursuing a fellowship in geriatric medicine at the University of Wisconsin (2026-2027), with future plans to pursue a fellowship in palliative care.
