Dr. Jennifer Temel is the Director of the Supportive Oncology Unit for Research, Care, and Education at Mass General and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on improving the experience and outcomes of patients with serious cancers and their family members. Dr. Temel’s research on the value and impact of palliative care for patients with cancer has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Journal of the American Medical Association. Her research has been recognized by awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Cancer Society, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
