Nieves Sanchez is a board certified Internal Medicine physician who earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2002. She completed her residency training at UMass Memorial Healthcare in 2005. Through years of caring for patients with serious illness in her career as a hospitalist she felt a growing need to focus more deeply on quality of life, communication, and symptom support for patients and families. This led her to pursue fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is currently completing fellowship training at Broward Health and plans to continue providing compassionate, patient-centered care in the field of palliative medicine.
