Department of Palliative and Supportive Care, Cleveland Clinic
Kimberlee Fong , DO, is a staff physician in the Department of Palliative and Supportive Care within the Taussig Cancer Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. She specializes in caring for patients with complex life limiting illnesses, where she works as part of an interdisciplinary team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and social workers to provide care to patients and their families. She is interested in antibiotic use at end of life, AI use in medicine, and guiding medical students, residents and fellows onward in their professional and personal journey.
Dr. Fong graduated from Des Moines University and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. She completed an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and practiced with Kaiser Permanente. She then completed fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Summa Health in Akron, OH. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Fong is the current Co-Chair of the Asians Supporting Inclusivity and Allyship Network [ASIAN] Heritage Employee Resource Group, past Chair of South Pointe Hospital’s Ethics Committee and a representative on their Cancer Committee. She regularly rotates at Hillcrest, Marymount, and South Pointe Hospitals working with learners as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
