Sean Gaffney, MD, M.Ed.

Assistant Professor
University of North Carolina School of Medicine

Dr. Sean Gaffney is an Assistant Professor in the University of North Carolina (UNC) Palliative Care Program at the UNC School of Medicine. Dr. Gaffney works with patients and families living with serious illness, focusing on symptom management and maximizing quality of life. Dr. Gaffney enjoys learning what is more important to his patients and incorporating their goals into their care plans. In addition to working with patients, Dr. Gaffney has a passion for teaching and enjoys working with students, residents, and colleagues, both in the classroom and on the wards.
