Elizabeth Rueppel is a second-year medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is exploring a career in geriatric medicine with a focus on improving care for older adults. In the summer of 2025, she was selected as a trainee in the NIH Medical Student Training in Aging Research (MSTAR) Program, where she conducted a research project under the mentorship of Dr. Rebecca Rodin, examining racial and ethnic disparities in analgesic prescribing for older adults with cancer before and after the 2016 CDC opioid prescribing guidelines. Her academic interests include geriatric medicine, health disparities, and outcomes research in older adult populations.
