Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Sean Morrison is a geriatrics and palliative medicine physician, clinical and health services researcher, and Professor and Chair of the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is also the Director of the the National Palliative Care Research Center and formerly of the Lilian and Benjamin Hertzberg Palliative Care Institute, organizations devoted to improving care for persons with serious illness and their families and enhancing the knowledge base of palliative care in the United States. During 2009-2010, he served as President of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Morrison has published over 200 research articles and his work has appeared in all major peer-reviewed medical journals
