Kwame Adjepong, MD, is a palliative physician and neurologist at the University of Califronia, San Francisco (UCSF). His work centers on raising the standard of care for patients, families, and providers to sustain in their roles navigating serious neurologic illness. Dr. Adjepong's clinical and professional interests focus on neuropalliative care, within which he seeks to integrate neurological familiarity into routine palliative practice, and integrate palliative principles into routine neurological care. His scholarly work to date has focused on workforce development in neuropalliative care, developing curriculum, educational seminars, and faculty development opportunities for patients, caregivers, trainees, and established faculty who interface with palliative needs in neurodegenerative illnesses. Through clinical innovation, education scholarship, and systems-level program development, Dr. Adjepong's long term goal is to expand palliative workforce for serious neurologic illness and thus improve access for individuals and families affected by serious neurologic illness.
